The cedar plank should be soaked for about 30 minutes preferably in lukewarm water.
Wash the pears and cut an upper part. For a better stability, cut the bottoms of pears as well. Undermine the pears carefully and then fill them with two tablespoons of jam, vanilla sauce and a tablespoon of flaked almonds. At the end put a tablespoon of Strohrum to each pear and close the lid. The filled pears put on the cedar plank on indirect heat on the barbecue and grill for about 30 minutes until the pears are soft.
Ideally, the tipsy pears should be served warm on the cedar plank!
