Rinse the drumsticks with lukewarm water and dab them with a paper towel! Use a sharp knife to carefully begin cutting the skin away from the long of the chicken leg. Wrap the exposed meat with bacon and fold the skin back to its original shape.
The marinade: mix the soy sauce, honey and chili sauce and brush over the drumsticks. Prepare the grill for indirect heat and preheat it to 200°C!
Grill the drumsticks for about 60 minutes in the indirect heat of the grill at 180°C, and follow the instructions for smoking with sawdust (on the back of the packaging) – try the Sawdust in action!
